YARA sponsored Pocklington Town 3rds team were at home to Heslington Reserves in the second round of the York FA Junior cup last Saturday and progressed through to a last 16 meeting against Bishop Wilton with a second half performance that took the game away from their visitors. With the sides locked at 1-1 at half time after Pock scored early through Alex Fletcher but were pegged back. A strong second half effort brought goals for James Marshall and the returning Nathan Hind, on as a sub for his first taste of competitive football for 6 months. With the young lads in the team also contributing to a good squad effort, Pock travel to Hull this Saturday for more cup action in the East Riding Qualifying Country cup in good heart, players meet at the club at 12.30.
