About Our Seniors

Pocklington Town FC run four Saturday Senior teams playing in three different leagues against opponents across the East Riding of Yorkshire, based between the main cities/towns of York, Driffield and Hull.

The clubs First team compete in the Humber Premier league and is the highest standard of local football available outside of the Northern Counties or Central Midlands leagues. The league centres around clubs based mainly in and around Hull and was created in 2000.

The clubs Reserves and Third team compete in the York Minster Engineering Football league which as it's name suggests, centres around the city of York but also takes in opponents from Selby, Thirsk etc.

The Driffield league hosts the clubs fourth team and they travel to take on opponents based in and around the Driffield area as well as villages like North Frodingham, Nafferton etc.

The club also fields a team in the Northern Under 19 Alliance (formerly the Northern Youth Academy League) with matches taking place on a midweek evening. Home games kick off at 7.45 pm on a Tuesday and the squad takes on other academy teams involving clubs such as Pickering Town, Scarborough Athletic and Bridlington Town amongst others.

All the teams play on Saturday afternoons with matches kicking off at 2 pm. The clubs home ground is the Henry Thirsk Amenity centre, located on the Balk, Pocklington (YO42 2NZ) and their facilities consist of 6 changing rooms, all with showers as well as a lounge bar above the dressing rooms for after match hospitality.

Senior training is held every Wednesday throughout the season, starting at 7 pm and new and current players are all welcome. You will need to bring your own training kit, boots etc but all the other equipment is provided by the club and session are run by FA qualified coaches.
