Pocklington Town 3rds 2 - 4 Riccall United
16 Nov 2013
YARA sponsored Pocklington Town 3rds suffered a 4-2 league defeat at home to Riccall last Saturday when despite having gone behind early, a Byron Draycott header levelled things on the half hour. Nathan Hind thought that he had scored a "wordly" on half time when he let rip with a pile driver from 35 yards that flew into the net, only for the Ref's whistle while the ball was in flight to deny him a marvellous goal and Riccall made the most of this by regaining the lead early in the second half. James Saltmer's 6th goal of the season levelled things again but despite pushing for the win, the visitors scored two late goals to record the win.
Next week sees the 3rds in York FA cup "derby" action when they take on Bishop Wilton away.
